| Clearly
making an Easter bunny out of an Easter egg is a great craft
to use during the holiday. However it is also a wonderful
spring theme craft or even animal craft. |
| Step
1: The first step is to cut out the ears of the bunny
that you will be making. This craft can be altered to make
any kind of animal, cutting a different shape of ears to make
cat or dog and the addition of a trunk and different shape
ears can yield an elephant. Make as many egg animals as you
and your toddler would like. If you want to add some detail
to the ears of the Easter egg bunny you can cut a bit for
the inside of the ear. |
|
| Step
2: If you decided to use some inside color to the ear
have your child glue them on the ears before gluing the ears
on to the egg. It can be easier when working with small pieces
to use a Q-tip in place of just using the glue bottle to apply
glue to the paper. Your child also has the option of coloring
in the inside of the ears and you can forget the glue for this
part all together. |
|
| Step
3: Lastly apply some glue to the areas that you would
like to apply the eyes and ears. Again a Q-tip can make things
easier for you or your child. After gluing on the pieces you
or your child can draw a mouth with the marker for the bunny.
A circle for the nose and a line with two U's is a cute face.
If you find that the eyes are coming off use more glue and
consider reinforcing the years with some tape. |

| It
is the crafts like this one that can really help a toddler or
small child wait until an Easter egg hunt can begin. It does
not take very many materials, goes well with the theme, and
takes long enought that you can turn a 15 minute wait for a
child into 15 minutes of fun and distraction. Plus since it
takes so few materials you can make many bunnies. |
